I Dwell In Possibility

So what does it mean to "dwell in possibility"?

A workshop I did last year, facilitated by my friend, Karen Hicks, brought to me a phrase that I use with myself and clients almost daily: "Nevertheless, I am willing". When I say this to myself I am acknowledging that whatever the circumstance, whoever is involved, whatever the comfort level, however I am feeling, whatever the outcome, if it is an experience that is for my highest and best good, I am willing - completely and totally - to be in it and to go through the experience in its fullest sense. I am willing to experience the fullness of the joy and love that is possible and I am also willing to experience the fullness of the illness or the sadness or the pain of the experience too. Everything is my teacher and I learn more and more about myself and the world that I create around me with every experience that I have. In that way, every experience that I have brings me to a richer and exponentially more full awareness, peace and trust.

When I replay my life in my mind, there are moments that were terrifying, embarrassing and painful and there were moments that were as close to perfect bliss as I can imagine it to be. I wouldn't tweak, alter or remove any one of those experiences at all. I am here and I am in love with this life as it is. I have no expectation of what the rest of my life is going to be. I have no conditions or limitations to put upon my being here. All I know is that anything and everything is possible in this day and I am open and receptive to all of that, if it's for my highest and best good. I joyfully dwell in possibility. My future is full of possibility and so therefore I am already satisfied with it all.

That's what it means to me. Be in possibility. Be there joyfully

Best Day Ever

Affirmation for Today: I am exactly as I should be today.

Visualization and Action:
You are exactly as you should be today. You are perfectly poised to do what you need to do, to give advice, to learn a new skill, to change your mind, to grow, to make an awesome mistake, to have a life-altering experience (because, really, all experiences are life-altering), to be in the right place at the right time, to get lost, to find what you are looking for.... the list goes on. There is nothing that you need to do in order to be ready, except to feel "ready". Think of Spongebob Squarepants and his eternal optimism as he exclaims to the world every day "I'm READY!" Today you are you, no more and no less. Tomorrow you will be you, but different because of today, and that will be exactly as it should be.

Extremes

Affirmation for Today:
I am free of extremes and I naturally sit in balance.
 
Visualization and Action:
Imagine yourself at a Theme Park, any one you wish, and you are walking around and looking at all the rides. There are the spinning tea cups that whirl you around so that you can’t think or see straight, the drop zone or bungee type rides that pull you up and then drop you down and leave your stomach at the top, the roller coasters with their break-neck speeds, high-highs and low-lows, and we can’t forget the bumper cars where people intentionally ram into you repeatedly and block you into a corner. These rides can be exhilarating, life-affirming and fear-facing. They can also leave you frustrated and make you toss your cookies. Then there’s the Ghoster Coaster (Canada’s Wonderland lovers will know) – that gentle little rollercoaster with the moderate speed and the moderate highs and lows. Fun, without the extremes. There's no fear getting on... and no feelings of nausea getting off. Just a fun day at the park. A good day. We have a choice as to what ride to get on. We choose every day.

We don’t need to live in extremes, in the “all or nothing” or “one or the other” ways of being. There is a middle path. It’s all about what we invest in. We don’t have to live in the memories of the glory days or stay in the depths of despair forever. The past is no more, the future isn’t yet and the present just is, but not for long :)

Every creation and experience of that creation has perfection in it and we don’t need to be "perfect" (we just are anyway) to experience it. That is the super-amazing part about being a human being. We just are. We’ll have difficulty and struggle in our life experiences and we'll also have tremendous joy and elation. It really doesn’t serve us to dwell in one or the other. How can we find the perfection in everything if we don’t know its imperfection?

We don’t need to struggle for balance. We can just allow balance to exist in your day and notice it where we find it. Have balance in the minute, the hour and day, but try not to dwell beyond that. It’s in going beyond the day that we will often find difficulty. Focus on staying in the now. Be kind to yourself, be honest and patient with yourself. Acknowledge where you struggle and where you thrive. Try not to look at things and see them as good or bad things, but perfect experiences.

As a good friend said to me: “Do not take the experiences that are being created now in the world and panic. In the panic you lose the perfection. Be patient, be quiet, go inward. Wait. Let the experiences flow as they must. It is said that “all good things must come to an end”, but so too must the things you perceive to be bad, and when they are done and complete, what invaluable lessons and insight has been given to you! There is the sweet prize.”

Be still. Breathe. Know perfection. It IS there.

I Surrender All

Affirmation for today:
I surrender all.

Visualization/Action:
Imagine yourself holding on so tightly to things (money, energy, relationships, ideas and beliefs, fear, grudges, sickness...) and imagine all the tension that comes when you hold on so tightly. Then imagine dropping it all, letting it fall or float away, holding on to nothing, releasing all tension in your mind, body and spirit. Brea...the deeply and let go of your breath. Smile.

To surrender doesn't mean that you are giving up and it doesn't mean that you are in a state of despair. To surrender is to allow what is and to take in, to release and to flow with change and growth. Our own control is an illusion that doesn't serve our highest and best. Sometimes, no matter how hard we hold on, things slip through our fingers, paths twist and turn, and God always has a better plan. So instead of going against the flow of the river, turn around and let the current take you on some grand adventures. All the best places are down stream!

I've got room in my canoe for you :) Let's do this together.

I AM Open To Possibilities

Affirmation for today:
Today I open myself up to all possibilities that are for my highest and best good.
Visualization/Action:
The key here is not to have any expectations. Try not to place conditions on what you assume MIGHT be for the highest and best good in any situation. Instead visualize yourself happy, joyful even, at the end result. See yourself satisfied with your journey and pleasantly ...surprised. Possibilities work best without a ceiling so try not to place one. Remind yourself that you love yourself enough to go through the process and if you can imagine yourself smiling at the end of it then you are putting the right energy where it needs to be.

I always see you smiling in my dreams!

I AM Blessed

Affirmation for today:
I am blessed in every way and I wonderfully accept all the blessings that come to me today.

Visualization and Action:
The best way to feel blessed is to bless others. So today bless everyone that you meet. Bless the drivers around you (no matter how they are behaving). Bless your co-workers, your roommate, your animals, the person on Drive-Thru at Tim's and everyone else th...at comes into your awareness today. It's as easy as just thinking the thoughts "bless you" as you pass them by, but if you want to take it one step further, you can make it personal. Look them in the eye and bring to your mind a personal blessing, like "Kit, may you be blessed today. May all good things come to you today and your blessing pass on to those who come to you for healing" (Thank you!). Or "Dear Jerk who cut me off just now, I forgive you because I know what it's like to be in a hurry and to feel rushed and anxious. I know what it's like to be unaware and careless. May you be blessed today and what ever stress you may be feeling ease and calm for you today. I wish good things for you, no matter what."

Feel free to throw in a few "I love you's" and "keep on rocking in the free world's" :)

I Know My Success By My Joy

Affirmation for today:
I know my success by my joy.

Visualization and action:
If you are experiencing joy then you are in the frequency of abundance and well-being. This is absolutely where you want to stay! Even when you aren't feeling that joy and even when you aren't feeling all that successful, one sure-fire way to align yourself with that frequency again is to imagine it. Remember what it fe...lt like and bring it into your imagination as though it is happening right now. See it in your mind. Feel the sensations, the flutter in your heart, the HUGE goofy grin on your face, the feelings of satifaction at a job well done, hear the voices of praise and congratulations from your admiring fans. Do it now and you are one step closer to manifesting success. Now, just take whatever action you are inspired to take and remember to acknowledge the good feelings and your wonderful acheivements every step of the way.

If you're asking if it's too much to run around your livingroom with your arms raised, impersonating a roaring crowd.....no, no it's not.

I AM An Anchor For The Light Today

Affirmation for today:
I Am an anchor for the light today. My awareness and intention is on joy. My awareness and intention is on peace.

Visualization and Action: In every situation that presents itself to you today, imagine how you can anchor light and love in that moment. It might be that a smile is all that's needed or Maybe there are some kind and understanding words that come to you. Maybe su...rrounding people with a bubble of light in your mind can help them to feel and connect to that light. But today, trust that what you focus on, being an anchor for that light, will not only help you and help all the others around you to be in the right space of compassion and love.

May you enjoy all the blessings of this day and know how richly life is blessed every day.

I Will Triumph

Affirmation for today:"I will triumph"

Visualization: Imagine yourself going through the day as though you were running a marathon, people lined up on the side of the road, cheering you on, giving you high-fives, marvelling at your incredible endurance and complete awesomeness. Imagine yourself pumping your fist in the air at the end of the day and shouting "Woohooo!!! Let's do it again tomorrow!"

I AM So Abundant

Affirmation for today:     I am SO abundant!
 
Visualization and thoughts:
Know your abundance so absolutely. Abundance comes in many ways - abundance of wealth, abundance of relationships, abundance of health, abundance of joy, abundance of support, abundance in your connection with God/All that is. If you have an abundance in one thing, you have the potential to have abundance in All things. Visualize... yourself acknowledging the abundance that you DO have. If you are financially stable, imagine yourself dancing in a rainfall of money or doing all of those things that money provides you the opportunity to do. If you are abundant in friends and family, imagine yourself surrounded by all the people who love you, hugging you, being kind to you, loving you. If you are abundant in health, imagine how strong you are, how much energy you have and what you are capable of. Once you have imagined those things that you KNOW you are abundant in, attach to those good feelings the thoughts and images of what you WANT to be abundant in. Ride that good wave!! When you're done, acknowledge how good it feels to be abundant and go about your day, knowing that you can ride that monster wave anytime you choose.
